Members of LSR's Class XXXII are participating in Chop's Teen Club's community-wide, no-holds barred evening of live lip sync performances and fun. We'll join fundraising teams and will take to the stage as we compete to find out Who’s Got the Chop’s! Proceeds benefit the Performing Arts & Youth Sports Programs at Chop’s Teen Club.
Chop’s Teen Club is a prevention based organization that is open opposite of school hours to provide a safe, fun and productive place where teens engage, connect and discover their true potential. Chop's serves youth in 7th-12th grades and sustains an annual membership fee of $1.00 so that every teen is financially able to participate. Their 21,000 square foot state-of-the-art building contains the following program areas for teens to take advantage of: Gymnasium, Technology Lounge, Art Studio, Recording Studio, Café, Night Club, Teaching Kitchen, and Multi-Use Space.
Programming is led by staff trained in youth development and who work with teens because they are invested in their success. Chop's offers a place for teens to become work ready, prepare for college, improve study habits, join clubs, serve the community, and take part in art, music, culinary, barista training, arts, technology and sports programs. Chop's continues to create and design new and challenging programs that teens love to take part in.
