There are more than 5 million people diagnosed with Alzheimers in the United States and a new case is diagnosed every 66 seconds. Alzheimer's Disease is the degeneration of brain cells which affects memories, functioning and eventually leads to death. This is a growing epidemic affecting the older population and there is no cure.
The students of Widener University are not only committed to help raise money for research, but are also dedicated with passion and soul to make this fundraiser as successful as possible. Your neighbor, your brother, your father, your mother; this disease hits home with everyone and it's that thought of our own and our classmate's loved ones in the back of our minds that is the driving factor in this fundraiser. If everyone who comes across this page donates, we could raise enough to fund the research so we can help find a cure. A few dollars is very little to ask in regards to the research that could one day save the lives of the ones you love. Any amount, big or small, is very much appreciated. Find a cure, say you helped.
