Charles was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis or MS, in August 2013. This disease affects his brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves. His nerves don’t work as they should to help him move. As a result, he has symptoms like: Trouble walking, Feeling tired,Muscle weakness and spasms, Blurred or double vision, Numbness and tingling Poor bladder and bowel control, Pain, Depression, Problems focusing and remembering. Since this diease is not something most people see it's hard to remeber the battle he is fighting on the inside. There is not Cure yet because the Doctors call this a Snowflake disease. Meaning no two symptoms are a like in the same person. Since it is a snowflake disease everytime we need to take him to the doctor the only way for them to tell what is going on inside is by doing and MRI. A blessing and a curse I say.
We are continually optimistic and are thankful for all the prayers and support. Check back offten to see updates and come spring we plan on doing an annual Ms Walk.
