BENEFITING: RESILIENCE RISING
EVENT DATE: Oct 15, 2011
Resilience Rising’s Founding Director Gillian Wood ran track at Middlebury College with Wig Walk Boulder’s Co-Founder Nick Jocelyn. This year their causes unite! Come join the fun!
The 9th Annual Wig Walk Boulder is a pub crawl for charity through the hottest bars and restaurants in Boulder, CO with the help of a “magic” rope, wigs, & creative costumes. 100% of the proceeds go to local charities. For more information about the Wig Walk Boulder, check out http://facebook.com/bestpartyever.
One of the three beneficiaries of this year’s Wig Walk is Resilience Rising (www.resilience-rising), a new non-profit in Denver providing survivors of child prostitution with opportunities for safety, healing, & empowerment. The other two selected beneficiaries include Jodi’s Race for Awareness (www.colo-ovariancancer.org/jodisraceforawareness), benefitting Colorado Ovarian Cancer Awareness, and Outdoor Mindset (www.outdoorminset.org), uniting and inspiring people affected by neurological challenges through a common passion for the outdoors.
The 9th Annual Wig Walk Boulder is on Saturday, October 15th, 2011 @ 4pm. WW9 wristbands are $40 and get you complementary drinks, food, & dancing throughout the evening, with 100% of proceeds going to charity. To purchase your WW9 wristband, go to http://wigwalk2011.eventbrite.com. Because tickets for the Wig Walk are limited, there is also a WW9 after-party beginning @ 10pm at the Boulder Absinthe House. After-party wristbands are $10 and can be purchased at the door. These wristbands get you a complementary drink, food and drink specials, and admission to the hottest, craziest dance party around, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity.
Hope you can join us! If you are unable to attend but would still like to make a donation to Resilience Rising, please do so here on Crowdrise. Thank you!
