THE STORY:

What we are trying to do is build a 1000 acre wild life sanctuary.

Our pledge to you is we will not be just another sanctuary. We will never sell out to bad politics and all funding will be used strictly for the animals and nothing but the animals.  Right now we have put a lot of energy into promoting petitions to help save the wolf with positive results. We care about all animals, not just the wolf and when this sanctuary happens we will welcome all animals. Bears that need to be relocated because of the fear mongering and government thinking killing them is the only option will also be welcome. We want to provide a safe place for animals to live their life without being destroyed by hunters and federal authorities.

The animals will be able to roam free on in the sanctuary, but predators will have their own area and be separate.  We will supplement their diet and do occasional check ups and providing man made dens and shelters that are as close to the actual natural habitat as possible.

 ( A little about wolves)

Since government has taken wolves off of the endangered list, they went from high numbers to very low numbers very quickly with hundreds being killed every day. This not only affects the wolves, but also other animals such as the wolverine which have never seen such low numbers in the history of the United States.

We want to include "all" animals in our sanctuary, even fostering dogs and cats until they can be adopted, medical and quality food for all as well as enclose the ranch in a high fence to keep out hunters and keep the animals from wondering into a kill zone. All this adds up to more money than we ever hope to raise using conventional methods so we turn to the internet super highway.

When this facility begins it will be run by two full time people and the help of many volunteers that truly care about the animals. We already have a very large list of volunteers that will be donating their time and expertise as soon as we purchase the land and get the facility ready to except the many many animals that are in dire need of a kind hearted sanctuary run by kind hearted people.

The Endangered Species Act was passed precisely because states were not doing enough to protect wildlife. In many cases, states remain opposed to protection of species. Forcing citizens to go through these very same states in seeking protection of species runs directly counter to the purpose of the Act.

" Animosity to wolves still runs deep in some circles, including many public lands ranchers who fear unjustifiably wolf predations of their livestock. Because of the ranching industry’s political clout, state and federal wildlife managers will kill entire wolf packs when even a single sheep or calf may have been killed by wolves ...even though the ranchers may have turned out their livestock right in the midst of a wolf den."

Now because of ignorance and branches of government not cooperating the wolves are on their own and we have to ban together for the best interest of nature and wild life as we need to make sure these endangered species do not become extinct.

Even if you can not donate, please contact your local congressman and tell them that you want the wolves put back on the endangered list and if your state already has them back on the endangered, then please tell them not to apeal the Federal judge's decision to put them back on the list and you want them to stay on that protected list because they are a major part of the ecosystem and nature needs them. Not to mention the horror these animals go through when caught in traps for days.

Thanks to a Federal Judges decision we now have them back on Michigan and Wisconsin Fish and Wild life's protected list again. Also are back on the threatened list for Minnesota, but already there are lobbist being paid to get them taken back off the protected/endangered lists.
