Wildlife Rehabilitation center
Organized by: AJ Byrne
I am starting a new Wildlife rehab center in Pa. It will be the only one with full time care in the county. We expect to have Raccoons, Opossums, deer, bear, bobcat, squirrels, rabbits, fox, coyotes, and any other species in need. The property we are interested in is $121,000 with 1 acre and 2 dwellings for caregivers. We are planning a new structure with 10 stalls and many rooms for different species. The structure comes with an additional apartment for full time caregivers. The building delivered is $138,657 without the hook ups. The proper equipment in the structure will cost an additional large sum of money. We are in the process of becoming tax exempt. The additional money will support the costs of start up with animal feed, hay, crates, fencing, building maintenance, a van, medical supplies, vet bills, and solar panels/windmills to reduce monthly cost. Caregivers will be on a volunteer basis. I hope to later be able to employ 3 people during the "peak" season on salary. We love animals and we want to help them when they need human intervention. Every little bit helps us help the animals. At this time we will not be rehabilitating and birds, but we will be able to transport them legally.
