We are a volunteer based non-profit group that rehabilitates and releases orphaned and distressed wildlife and promotes responsible attitudes regarding the preservation of native species, habitat, and the environment. Wildlife Works primarily serves Westmoreland County PA and surrounding areas and accepts large birds-of-prey from outside the area. The facility is located in Youngwood and relies heavily upon volunteers. Volunteers and trained staff treat on average 400 wildlings per year with an impressive release rate of 70%. In addition to rehabilitation of wildlife, WWI works to educate the public on how to better co-exist with wildlife through presentations, publications, press releases and articles, and one-on-one conversations.
