As a married, 2nd Year Law Student with a little toddler boy, I know all too well what "living within your means"... means. There are many things I'd like to do to help various causes, but most help needs money. As independence day approaches, I wanted to do something patriotic, that would allow me to support my community. As an avid cyclist, I found a cause I believe merits my support: The GranFondo San Diego is a bike race that supports The "Challenged Athletes Foundation's" initiative "Operation Rebound," which helps wounded soldiers participate in sporting events again. I myself don't have the means to support the Charity after all of my own bills, so I thought of a way to get it I "Will Work for Charity". For $25 an hour I will do anything you would like: Yard Work, Painting, Oil Change, Exercise, Study, Advocacy, Community Service to raise money for the Charity. The catch is, you won't pay me for my work. You would directly pay the charity, through this fundraiser. This way you spend money on the expenses you were going to spend anyway, I get to serve my community, and we both get to donate to a charitable cause! Want me to go pick up trash on the highway for 2 hours!? Donate $50, and I'll document that it is done. Let's serve San Diego, and honor our great country by helping the soldiers who have been wounded. If I meet my goal, we will have raised $1000 for Operation Rebound, and I will have completed 40 hours of community service!
