William's Journey to Korea - World University Games
Organized by: William Jackson
Be a Part of the Journey
My name is William Jackson and I am an elite athlete at GT Sport Taekwondo, a full time Student at the University of Texas at Dallas, and an intern for Edo Popken of Switzerland. Taekwondo has been a passion of mine for more than 12 years now and I currently hold a 3rd degree black belt. My schedule is demanding between school, studying, work and training sessions but the hard work is critical to being the best student, athlete and eventually a career professional.
This year has been especially exciting. I made the USA National Collegiate Team in March!! As such, I am required to travel abroad for international competitions. The additional travel and training expense for both teams coupled with school and monthly training tuitions makes it very challenging to come up with the funds needed for competitions. For the upcoming events, expenses will be almost $2,000. This includes airline tickets to the international tournaments, hotel rooms for the nearly week long venture, and tournament registration. This year, July 1-15th, 2015 the USA National Collegiate Team will be traveling to Korea for the World University Games.
So I am reaching out to you for donations and sponsorships to support me in my travels this year. I would like to offer everyone an opportunity to be involved, but please do not feel obligated.
I am very appreciative of all the encouraging words and your support.
My #1 dream is to become World Champion, and with your help WE can make this happen!
Below is summary of my Taekwondo accomplishments and I expect the list will only get bigger as my journey continues.
Thank you in advance for your support!!
