BENEFITING: GLEASONS GIVE A KID A DREAM
William Weeks, 'The Professor', picked up the gloves as a teen in South Boston. It was 1964 and he was part of the South Boston Saint Patrick's Day boxing program.
Focused, creative and easy going, he counts raising his two fantastic children as his greatest accomplishment and admires their achievements to no end.
In all facets of life, both inside the ring and out, his work ethic has helped him realize his goals. Goals that through boxing he knows require a lot of hard work, persistence and dedication.
Moreover, he knows training isn't to be taken lightly and success isn't immediate. He's put the hours in to win. His other goal with training? Working to minimize the number of punches he might take!
Aside from keeping him in great shape, boxing builds confidence for Weeks, who now resides in Newton, Massachusetts. He also finds that leaving his aggressions in the ring creates an all around more plreasnt life allowing him to more wholly embrace and live by his personal motto: 'Life Is Fun'.
A testament to all that, to his focus, creativity and perspective is the fact that he's known as 'The Professor' for his uncanny ability to help others in the gym learn.
His helping doesn't stop at the gym doors though, it's very important for William to support charities that mean something to him, groups like; The Jimmy Fund, Walk For Hunger, The Bethany Hill School and breast cancer awareness in general.
