At 4 months of age our precious William was diagnosed with Bilateral Optic Nerve Hypoplasia and Nystagmus, resulting in visual impairment and other medical concerns. He underwent eye surgery in December of 2012 in order to try and correct his null point. His most recent obstacle has been sensory processing difficulties. Will has been receiving early intervention services from the Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairments for over 2 years now. The mission of the Delta Gamma Center is "To help young children with visual impairments reach their potential by providing individualized education and therapy services to them, and support services to their families." Will is doing extremely well and is functioning above and beyond our expectations. We attribute his continued success to the Delta Gamma Center and his vision therapist, Lindsay. Please help us raise money and awareness for the Delta Gamma Center so that our Will and other children with visual impairments can continue to thrive and succeed to the best of their abilities by joining our team and walking and or running in Run for Sight on May 5, 2013.
