FLATWATER CHALLENGE: Lake Tahoe In September of 2017, The Flatwater Foundation will be taking paddling and fundraising to a whole new level. The Foundation will be taking a small group of our most dedicated supporters to circumnavigate Lake Tahoe on SUPs. This route covers 71 miles in 4 days and has only been done a handful of times. WHY are we taking on this challenge? To raise money to pay for mental health support for individuals and families touched by cancer. Every day will be an intense mental and physical challenge of non-stop paddling to support those coping with cancer, to honor those navigating a recent diagnosis, and to remember those that we have lost. The Flatwater Foundation is dedicated to providing those diagnosed with cancer, their families and loved ones access to mental health therapy and family support. This includes access to both traditional and non-traditional methods of psychological counseling. Enabling those in need to “Live Inspired. Feel Empowered.” What impact will $8,000 have? $8,000 will provide over 2 years (at once a week) of life changing/saving therapy for an individual in need. $8,000 will provide a year and a half (at once a week) of life changing/saving therapy for a family in need. Please consider donating to this event and changing a life.
