The first annual MiLB Play4TheCure World Series of Fundraising kicks off this August, with 5 MiLB teams enthusiastically committed to support cancer research by selecting a home game to dedicate to Play4TheCure! Play4TheCure is the official sports fundraising platform for the National Foundation for Cancer Research.
Ally Minker, daughter of Wilmington Blue Rocks owner, Clark Minker, wanted to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of funding cancer research. Cancer has affected the Minker family and Ally wanted to do something to help find a cure. Through the program she created, The MiLB Play4TheCure World Series of Fundraising, 100% of the money raised by each team, will go to NFCR supported scientists and researchers who are conducting invaluable cancer research.
