Lawrence Ramalho MD, has experienced “MIRACLES” saving thousands of lives in both emergency trauma and intestinal cancer surgery. He has operated on and autopsied every part of the body including the brain and the heart, in times of war, peace, and training. Who would have known a 12 year old city boy from New Jersey transplanted to a farm west of Fresno would ever have such an exciting, lucky, rewarding, life, even recently surviving robbery and kidnap at gunpoint. As Air Force Major and Chief of Surgery at the prestigious Beale “spy” base, he supported our famous SR 71 Blackbird, which still holds the record for highest and fastest jet, flying over Russia at 80,000 feet and “red hot” at 2,200 mph. It’s legendary pilot “Habu’s” wore Astronaut “garb” to keep their blood from boiling. CIA “Top Secret! “stuff was guarded by military police in surgery, with orders to kill if necessary to stop “leaks”. Talk about pressure!! Being a former USDA chemist and food inspector Dr. Ramalho became expert in nutrition, anti-aging, and preventive medicine. Proud of his son, daughter, and grandson, he’s single now. He loves Europe, Cannes, London, Prague, and Palm Desert as well as the coast.
“We are all one: Humans, animals, birds, bees, trees, flowers, earth, sea, wind, and fire! We need to live in harmony with everything and everyone on this thing called “Earth”. Be the "Best you can be!“ Don’t assume anything. Ask! Get a 2nd or 3rd opinion till you're “comfortable. Don’t take anything personally. Communicate! Choose words calmly & carefully. It has saved his life and others many times.
“Live, Smile, and Love, each day as if it were your last !’’ Dr. Ramalho is writing non-fiction books such as "Medical Secrets & Myths, Everyone should know". Ask him why 2 cups of regular coffee a day may prevent Parkinson's disease, and why urinating before driving a car may save your life. He put Dr. Zhivago his prize-winning Russian Wolfhound, down recently. It was one of the hardest things he has ever done. He and his dog were famous for walking down Van Ness every morning. He now walks alone. ‘We are all in the same boat!’ He’s positive, confident, yet very humble. Like Socrates, 2000 years ago he believes: “The only true wisdom is knowing you know nothing”
