Michael was born and raised in Fresno, CA. He is the third of four boys, all of which share the letter “M” in their first names. This is his first year as a Shoe Guy. Michael is no stranger to volunteering; was also involved with philanthropic activities for several organizations while earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at CSU Fresno. Volunteering as a Shoe Guy is important to Michael because he wants to become part of Make-A-Wish and give back to a truly worthy cause. Michael is currently a Physical Therapy Aide and Personal Trainer and is looking to further his education to become a Physical Therapist. His is dedicated to his Faith, Family, Friends and Fitness. Aside from studying and working he enjoys hiking, playing sports and working out in the gym.
Make-A-Wish® grants the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the United States and its territories. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve. The Central California chapter was founded in 1986, Make-A-Wish Central California chapter has granted over 2,000 wishes and serves eight counties: Fresno, Madera, Merced, Mariposa, Kern, Kings, Tulare and Inyo. We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
