THE STORY:
Ron is a native of Fresno. As a young man, he ventured away from home to serve a four year tour in the US Navy, where he served in support of operations during the First Gulf War and beyond. During his time in the Navy, Ron traveled extensively throughout several countries and sailed every major waterway on the globe. After his service, Ron returned home where he met and later married his wife of 20 years, Susan. He has three grown step children and two young grandchildren. Ron is a hardworking businessman; he owns a contracting firm, Generation Painting Inc., and two online jewelry shops, Lucky Steampunk & The Apicella Edge. When time permits, Ron enjoys fishing, hunting, and traveling. He also enjoys spending long weekends at the coast and watching sports such as baseball and football. Ron has given to children’s causes throughout the years, and with two grandchildren who bring him much joy, Make-A-Wish hits close to home. Ron decided to become a Shoe Guy for the first time this year because of the opportunity to rally around such a great cause in a fun and personal way. Please help Ron reach his goal in support of Make-A-Wish!
