WE PROVIDE FREE TREATMENT TO CHILDREN WITH DYSLEXIA
Hiram’s Riders Motorcycle Club is a non-profit Masonic organization dedicated to raising funds for the FREE treatment of Children with Dyslexia at our Dyslexic School in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh. In the last nine years, since the Club was formed, we have raised over $200,000 to help endow the Pittsburgh Children’s Dyslexia Center, a 501 C-3 Charity. Dyslexia affects one out of every five people, and affects boys and girls in equal numbers. Children left with untreated dyslexia often suffer devastating personal consequences. It is the number one reason teenagers drop out of school, and is a primary factor in juvenile delinquency. Research reveals that children with untreated dyslexia can become underachieving adults unable to contribute to society at their fullest capacity. Dyslexia is, however, a treatable condition. Children with dyslexia need professional help, and the earlier they receive it, the greater their chances of achieving normal, fully functional lives. The Pittsburgh Children's Dyslexia Center tackles the challenge of dyslexia head-on, both by providing free tutoring for children with dyslexia and by training a growing cadre of highly skilled and dedicated tutors. Children with dyslexia need professional help, and the earlier they receive it, the greater their chances of achieving normal, fully functional lives. "My daughter has made the most incredible progress through her hard work and the hard work of her tutors. Her entire outlook on school work and homework has changed. She is so happy! I can't thank you enough. What a blessing to now have a child who wants to read and can!"
