BENEFITING: Friends Of Endangered Children Inc
Hundreds of homeless children die each winter from exposure to sub-zero temperatures in the world’s inner cities. We have a plan to save them, and we hope YOU will help us! The sheer number of homeless and forsaken kids today is truly staggering. In some inner cities, they number in the tens of thousands. They sleep in train or bus stations, under bridges, in filthy alleys, in the basements of abandoned buildings, and even underground in sewers. These kids face hypothermia from exposure to extreme sub-zero temperatures during the winter months. Every year, authorities find young children frozen to death. Many of them are under 10 years old. Our Winter Survival Campaign provides homeless kids with fleece sleeping bags delivered inside “space blankets”. These shiny plastic sheets have saved many people’s lives in freezing conditions because they reflect 85% of your body heat back onto you. Just like the shiny interior of a thermos flask. The space blankets and fleece sleeping bags together keep homeless kids warm and help them survive the freezing winters. And in these survival kits we also include other items such as a small LED flashlight with extra batteries, mittens, nutritional bars, and chewable multivitamins. You can provide a homeless kid with one of these survival kits for just $25. Saving a kid’s life can be that simple. Donate a survival kit now, or even better get a group together at school, at college, or at work, and provide 5, 10, or more kits to those unfortunate kids who are out there in the cold.
