BENEFITING: Conservators' Center
As our binturong residents age, we occasionally have elders who develop sensitivity to the cold winter weather. While we provide each binturong with a heating pad and cozy blanket within their denbox, for our more sensitive binturong residents, we would like to be able to provide an entire heated habitat suited for their use. This will include a warm, insulated building with a denbox and plenty of fun enrichment so that they are able to happily spend the winter in a completely enclosed and heated space.
The cost to construct a building (roughly the size of Jeremiah and Cookie Lemurs') and outfit it with a new denbox and enrichment is $4,500. Donors who contribute $500 or more to this project will be featured on the plaque that will be included as part of the building’s completion.
We are dedicated to providing these residents with the highest possible quality of care, especially when it comes to protecting each one of them from inclement weather. Please give what you can to this special cause. We encourage you to come visit us, meet our animals, and awaken your wild side!
The Conservators’ Center in Burlington, North Carolina is home to nearly 100 exotic animals representing 19 species – including more than 30 lions and tigers. This haven for wild animals in need of a home has a 3-part mission: education, conservation, and rescue.
*The estimated cost of this project includes material and labor. Any funds raised above the amount shown will go directly to our Animal Care Fund.
