BENEFITING: WISH LIST PROJECT
EVENT DATE: Jan 06, 2015
The Wish List Project is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization focused on leveling the "educational playing field" for all students. Our mission is to foster student and family success by funding extracurricular activities, youth development programs, and educational resources for at-risk youth.
We believe that all people can be successful in school and in life when they have opportunities to pursue their interests, and the proper tools needed to achieve their goals. Winning this contest would allow The Wish List Project to fund needed educational programs and resources to keep kids in school and headed in the right direction. And you can help:
- $25 will fund a tour and lunch on a university campus for a middle school student who may be the first in their family to attend college.
- $50 will sponsor a music lesson for a child that shows musical talent but can’t afford lessons.
- $75 will sponsor the cost of registration fees for an athlete to participate in a local youth sports league.
- $100 will purchase a textbook for a young community college student who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend.
Our goal is to facilitate student achievement and improve graduation rates by equipping young people for academic success and a better future. With your help, we believe it's a goal that's well within our reach.
