With Love from Teddy
Organized by: Emily Lehman
Theodore Lehman passed away 3/19/15 leaving behind the memory and blessing of his sweet, gentle spirit. He also opened the eyes of many around him to the incredible difficulty of caring for a child with special needs. The emotional, physical, and financial toll can be overwhelming for families, especially at first. To remember late Teddy we want to show some love to families caring for their medically fragile kids and babies. Teddy spent Mother's Day weekend in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Last year in his honor we delivered 35 gift bags to moms who also found themselves in the hospital on this special day. We included a few snacks, home-made necklaces, journals, and a card. This year we want to do the same thing! This page is to raise monetary funds for this project. We also will be asking for volunteers to buy and make things. Right now the goal is Mothers's Day 2016, but we also dream of providing meals and snacks to Ronald McDonald House Charities and showering the pediatric epilepsy unit in Cleveland with something special. Help up brighten the day of a family supporting their little one, just like you cared for us while we cared for Teddy! An accounting of all resources raised and expenditures for this project will be made availible, too.
