BENEFITING: West Orange Habitat for Humanity
West Orange Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God's love into action by building homes, communities and hope.
West Orange Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1990 at the Oakland Presbyterian Church, Oakland, Florida and is a recognized affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Its primary goal is to build houses for god's people in West Orange County Florida, i.e. Oakland, Ocoee, Winter Garden and Windermere.
Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses alongside our homeowner partner families.
In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans.
