Your donation will help create the first fully certified Living Building Challenge (LBC) in Minnesota. Students in the new Margaret A. Cargill Lodge will interact with the building as a living teaching tool, seeing in real-time how their behaviors affect water and energy resources, and inspiring them to consider how their daily choices impact the planet.
Utilizing technologies built into every room, middle schoolers, campers, and families will be able to monitor personal energy and water consumption to become better informed stewards of the earth. Our goal at Wolf Ridge is to make a lasting impression on all of our visitors and inspire global citizens to create change.
The total goal for our Making Waves capital campaign is $9.4 million . Over the past 24 months, we have raised $6.7 million and have completed 2 of the 4 facilites Makiing Waves is funding. We are seeking support to finish out the campaign, and are especially excited about this flagship project that strives for full Living Building Challenge certification of the Margaret A. Cargill Lodge.
