WINTER implements pre-apprenticeship training for disadvantaged workers utilizing a multi-trade curriculum to increase the number of disadvantaged workers prepared to compete with the skills necessary to work in the construction and building trades. This initiative is designed to ensure that the program meets todays and future hiring needs of local industry and registered apprenticeships and to level the working field for disadvantaged workers. Graduates receive; 40-hour HAZWOPER Certificate 30-hour OSHA Safety Certificate 8-hour First Aid/CPR Certificate 100-hours of work competencies Certificate 25-hours Math for the Trades Certificate 40-hours of Physical Strength Training 157-hours of multi-craft curriculum and practicum Certificate Case Management and support services -Including union fees, working boots/clothes, tools, childcare and other support referrals Help us raise money to provide meaningful job training for women.
