THE STORY:
I am raising funds to help encourage women to lead healthy and active lifestyles through the sport of triathlon. I will be racing in the 2015 IRONMAN World Championship in Kailua-Kona Hawaii on Saturday October 10, 2015. In partnership with The IRONMAN Foundation, the funds raised will be used to create a grant program that will encourage women to participate in sport and show others that "anything is possible" Please help me make a difference in encouraging women to take charge of their lives and be inspirational. Donate now and help me reach my goal.
Since its inception in 1974, triathlon has been distinctive in its inclusion of female and male competitors on the same courses with the same challenges and rules. In keeping with the unique spirit of our sport, Women For Tri looks to increase female participation at all levels of triathlon.
The Women For Tri mission is simple: To identify and diminish primary barriers to entry, and mobilize triathlon advocates to encourage and engage female athletes across all distances and representing all athletic abilities.
Women For Tri embodies the heart and soul of what makes the sport so rewarding: testing your ability, overcoming challenges, and realizing the full depth of your potential in the most widely recognized test of endurance – triathlon.
Help me reach my goal -- consider donating $1 (or more!) per mile of my 140.6 mile journey and help us establish programs to break down the barriers that are keeping women from leading a healthy lifestyle.
