Women Giving Back via Crowdrise
April 29, 2013
Women Giving Back (WGB), a permanant program of HomeAid Northern Virginia, was founded in June 2007 by a core group of building industry sales and marketing professionals. Our goal is to provide transitionally homeless women with high quality clothing to help them enter the workplace. A large percentage of these women are victims of domestic violence.
These women can select professional work-oriented clothing, accessories, and clothing for their children free of charge at our WGB Store located in Sterling, VA. Our volunteers collect and sort clothing onsite, and then help women find any item they need when they visit our store. To date, WGB has distributed more than 50,000 items of clothing to more than 5,000 women from over 100 shelters.
Their smiles are all the thanks we need, but we need continued support to help these women move from homelessness to success! Please donate today!
