I have committed to running the Detroit Free Press Marathon in October 2015 because there is no better reason to do something I love than to help those who need our love. Running a marathon has always been a life goal of mine but I am so truly thankful to be able to do this for a cause that actually means more than just meeting a goal and checking something off of my bucket list. This is something that has truly been tugging at my heart. I have felt the need to do more for the little ones of this world. My job is a daily reminder of how much need truly exists in this world and what our little children go through. I have known that somehow I wanted to be a part of helping children and their families. Financially supporting my participation in this marathon does not benefit me or go to any of my costs for the race, but only benefits Gods' little babies. Many children in Thailand need our support so that they can grow in safe, loving, and educational settings away from dangerous environments. I feel so truly excited to finally be doing this and to be doing it for a reason that will benefit others. From the bottom of my heart, I believe that it is our responsibility to care for and love these little ones becuase they are not always able to fend for themselves.
Thank you so much for sharing this passion with me. I am excited about what we can do together!
