On October 18th I will be running my first marathon! Over the past year I've grown to love running. I run because I want to be a good steward of my body. The more I train, the more I'm thankful for the phsycial condition that I'm so blessed with. Each mile I overcome is so symbolic of the hardships I face in life, and my savior never, ever forsakes me. I use running and a time to worship and give thanks to God.
I'm running in support of Akha Light Orphanage in Thailand - an orphanage founded by Woodside Bible church 10 years ago. In addition to raising awareness and funds for the orphans of Thailand, I'm training with a group of believers. Every Saturday in the months leading up to the race, the Woodside Running team trains together, building community by working towards the same goal. I am so excited for this journey.
Please watch the video to learn more about the orphanage. Money donated will go towards the rescuing of children from the prevelant sex trafficing problem in Thailand. The orphange works to provide physical and spiritual needs for these children. All $ goes to the orphanage.
Thanks so much!

Team Woodside is a community of people helping each other cross the finish line while raising funds to protect orphans.
Every child deserves a safe home. Over 2 million Akha people live in Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Southern China. Akha orphans are victims of the Southeast Asia sex slave trade. Woodside Bible Church built the Thailand Orphanage, offering a safe and caring environment for orphans. Team Woodside partners with the Thailand Orphanage, helping to create fullness of life for children in need.
