During Life Impact week at Woodside Bible Church, several children from the Akha Light Orphanage in Thailand visited and shared what God was doing in their lives. It was inspiring to hear the stories God's transformative work and how he provided them with strength to endure their circumstances and hope for the future.
The Akha Light Orphange was started 10 years ago to rescue children from the terrible conditions that were occuring when their parents and caregivers could no longer provide for them. This mission has turned into a major Woodside ministry.
I am running the Detroit half-marathon, in order to help support and care for the children of Thailand. I have always aspired to run a half-marathon or marathon, but lacked the self-motivation and will-power to do it. At that service, God urged me to dedicate myself so that orphans can become part of God's family.
Please help us make a difference in the lives of kids here and around the world!
