Organized by: Foundations Youth Ministry

THE STORY:

This year's Foundations Worktours will take 66 teens and 16 adults to 3 cities  to serve, learn, and grow together in faith! THANK YOU for contributing to a fantastic summer!

June: Pittsburgh
Participants will partner with Rebuilding Together. This organization strives to improve living conditions for low-income homeowners. Work with Rebuilding Together ranges from painting the inside of a homeowner's home to helping fix a roof. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet and work with homeowners.

July: Birmingham
Participants will volunteer with Habitat for Humanity in Birmingham, Alabama. Throughout the week, teens will help build new homes and repair existing homes for this affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. The mission of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

August: Cincinnati
Participants will volunteer with a variety of agencies in the Cincinnati area. The work will include gardening with community members to promote community engagement and involvement, learning more about immigration issues in our country, volunteering at local churches and food pantries to be of help in any way possible, and much more!

am grateful to maya trinka and her fellow activisits. while service is obviously welcome and needed, am guessing the youth group will gain much through this experience. by learning from affected communities, we become aware of structural impediments to human rights and our shared responsibilities to work for justice. xxoo 2 years ago
