World Relief is here to empower the local and global church--the most diverse social network on the planet--to stand with the most vulnerable--the widow, the orphan, and the foreign born. Our mission includes programs that assist church that want to reach and assist immigrants through legal immigrant services and navigator programs. We partner with the US Department of State refugee programs and the Office of Refugee Resettlement. In Southern California we are building a network of churches and community organizations that will serve immigrants through legal services by becoming recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and becoming navigators for immigrants. Our team is walking el camino del inmigrante to stand with the vulnerable immigrants we serve by providing immigrant legal services and for resettled refugees in the US. This walk is in solidarity with so many who have walked many miles to safety and prosperity. There are more displaced people in the world today than any time since World War II. More than 60 million people have fled war, oppression and life threatening violence. Very few of these displaced persons ever make it to a durable solution through resettlement. Others have fled their homes in the Middle East and Central America and end up in America to seek asylum through the complex US immigration legal system. Everywhere people go, the church has helped provide guidance and refuge. Your support helps us provide support to local churches in the US, the Middle East, Europe and elsewhere.
