All of us have experienced a traumatic event in our own lives. Some experience traumatic events on a daily basis. The Women and Men who serve in the military are serving more combat tours than any other generation. The military sends young people to boot camp to train and prepare them for war but does not have a boot camp to prepare them to re-enter life as a civilian. The goal for Re-Boot Camp is to provide facilities across the U.S. to help soldiers returning from war learn how to readjust into civilian life. Re-Boot Camp will provide food and shelter while implementing a military structured environment that slowly reconditions soldiers to the civilian way of life. Re-Boot Camp will work directly with the VA to help streamline the process for veterans to receive the benefits the earned and deserve. Re-Boot Camp will help deal with the unique PTSD issues by implementing proven modalities while also utilizing organizations that already exist to help each and every soldier based on their individual needs. Not every person will react to treatments in the same way. Our duty will be to find what works for each person. Re-Boot Camp will work with a variety of industries to help new veterans find a place in the workforce. As a veteran of the Desert Storm era I have spent over 20 years living with the issues I face on a daily basis. I want to make the process easier for my fellow veterans. The highest rates of suicide, domestic violence and substance abuse are haunting military veterans. Help us create new ripples in our communities that help us all as a people and a country that we fought and are still fighting to protect.
