Over 20,000 families are victims of domestic violence each year in Ghana.

In response to the growing number of displaced women and children in Ghana, Mrs. Jane Adu founded WORSCA in 2000 with the goal of providing a higher standard of living for these children and women, including a place to sleep, proper education, clothes and counseling.

Today, in the small town of Dodowa, over 60 children call WORSCA home and while they are deeply thankful for the support of local churches and volunteers, more funds are needed to keep the children nourished, healthy and in school.

• $2.65 can give a child health insurance for one year so they can have access to doctors, medicine and medical treatments.

• $18.52 can cover the school admission fees, uniform and schoolbooks of 2 children so they can do their homework and go to school without the fear of being punished.

• $36.98 can buy almost a month’s worth of daily vitamins for the entire orphanage to help give the children the essential nutrients they need to grow and avoid sickness.

• $92.78 can buy new beds and mattresses for the 9 children who have none and must sleep on the floor.

No donation is too small and I have seen first hand what a difference these funds make. I promise that all donations will be provided to volunteers who can be trusted to use the money wisely once in Ghana and address the children's most pressing needs.
