BENEFITING: WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT
The Wounded Warrior Project's Mission and Vision are "to honor and empower Wounded Warriors" and "to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history." The WWP serves American veterans and service members who sustained a physical or mental illness or injury during their service on or after September 11, 2001. The charity raises awareness about the needs of injured service members, helps injured service members help each other, and provides services and programs to meet their needs. It is extremely important for us to take care of all of our service members. They have all made sacrifices that those of us who have never served in the military will never understand. They have given their time, blood, sweat, and tears to fight for our freedoms. Some of our veterans suffer from physical or mental illnesses that may not even be visible to us. These servicemen and women deserve our help. What greater gift could these veterans and servicemen have given us than our freedom? The least we could give back to them is a sincere "thank you" and a place to go to for help when they desperately need it.
