Wounded Wear's mission is to raise the national awareness of the sacrifice of wounded warriors, their families, and the families of fallen service members. In support of this mission Wounded Wear advocates on behalf and facilitates opportunities for those who have sacrificed so much, as well as providing free fashionable clothing kits and modifications to wounded warriors that empower them to rediscover the hero within. “A Toast to the Heroes” is the annual culmination and highpoint of the Wounded Wear message, “Honoring the sacrifice and rediscovering the Hero within” The proceeds of this fundraiser we have embarked on will enable so many Wounded Warriors and their families an opportunity to find and join a community that empowers the re-discovery of the hero within all of us. One of the greatest challenges that we have is mitigating the isolation we feel as we reintegrate back into society from the armed services. Emotional isolation can be one of the most destructive dynamics when it comes to the ongoing battle against PTSD, TBI, and Veterans Suicide within the Veterans Community. Wounded Wear as an organization effectively combats this symptom or malaise through their empowering events such as the Poker Run, Mud Run, Jumping with a Purpose, and the Toast to the Heroes Formal. Help us reintegrate our Warriors by empowering through community events. At “The Toast to Heroes V” veterans of all kinds can rediscover the military family and bonds that they may have needed while reintegrating. Give them a rediscovered sense of purpose, that which at one time flowed through all of us whom have walked and been carried off distant fields. It is sense of purpose that is deep in the hearts of the family members who have sacrificed so much. This same sense of purpose exists in this community; one that so many Wounded Warriors have not had the chance to find, do not know of, or cannot afford to get introduced to. It is also a unique opportunity to help reinvigorate the spirit of many Warriors and honor the sacrifice of the fallen. Help us in bringing these Warriors together at Wounded Wear's Annual ceremony "A Toast to Heroes".
