Since 1973, Women's Resource Center has guided over 40,000 women on the path of economic independence. We provide access to employability and life skills training through personal and group services. These services include career planning, job searching, resume building, interviewing, computer compentency, professional clothing assistance, mentoring and connections to other community resources. With the belief that all women have the right to realize their own personal and professional potential, we focus our work towards the 40% of Michigan families that do not make enough income to provide for their basic needs. The work of WRC is founded on the premise that women lead complex lives and their issues must be addressed with an intensive and integrated approach that is gender- specific in design. Each woman starts her journey by creating her own plan of action. This plan guides her in the direction of economic sustainability while staying true to her personal beliefs and needs. We are asking for your help in making this life changing plan of action available to many more women. Their future success not only benefits them, but their children and our community as a whole.
- We can provide 5 women the assistance they need to complete their personal plan of action for $100.00
