Friends, Shellie Tomlinson here. Every November I invite my readers and writer friends to join me in a focused bit of philanthropy called Writers and Readers Reach Out for 30 days of thankfulness. It’s a great way to show our thanks for all we have and to truly change the world. In years passed, together with Life Today, we’ve raised funds to dig wells in Africa and we've helped World Vision meet needs around the globe. This year, we're focused on a project called Hope Without Borders, founded by my daughter, Jessica Maher. This is Jessica pictured at your left, on a recent mission trip to El Salvador. You can read about that day and how this foundation was born in her heart by going to Hope Without Borders.
Our goal is to raise $20,000 for a new Hope Center in Nicaragua!
HOPE WITHOUT BORDERS:
Hope Without Borders is a non-profit foundation on a mission to bring hope to children in poverty around the world by providing them a safe place to receive love, guidance and care both physically, emotionally and spiritually— in small buildings known as Hope Centers. Visit http://hopewoborders.com to learn more.
GIVE A CHILD HOPE BY FUNDING A NEW HOPE CENTER:
~Hope centers provide children with a safe place to grow and learn.
~Hope centers provide children with daily meals, day care, education, recreation, health services, and Bible studies.
~This year, Writers and Readers Reach Out will help raise the $20,000 needed to build a Hope Center in Nicaragua.
Will you join our efforts by making a donation and then social sharing our drive? We like to say that we aren't looking for a miracle, we're looking to BE a miracle.
When you say a situation or a person is hopeless, you are slamming the door in the face of God. ~Charles L. Allen
