BENEFITING: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
EVENT DATE: Jan 29, 2011
As some of you may know, cancer research is near and dear to our heart this year due to the sudden loss, due to cancer, of our dear mum Judith in May. Some might think that would be reason enough for us to choose cancer research as recipient of your generosity this year, but we also have little battlers like Mary Grace McDermott, aged 22 months to provide additional inspiration if we need it (picture attached to pull at your heart strings). Mary Grace is the daughter of our friend Kurt and currently a resident of St.Judes in Memphis where she is fighting off Acute Promyelocytic Lukemia.
So this year, we'll be rising money on both of their behalf for the St.judes Pediatric Cancer Treatment Center.
Most of us have been impacted by cancer in some way and we want to do our part to fight this horrible disease. X-TrainFit will be helping to raise money doing what we do best, getting you fit. We have a lot more opportunities this year to bid on classes, so let’s blow last year’s number out of the park! Our goal is $6000 – can you help us reach it?
The party is open to members and non-members so come and bid on a spot, burn some calories, have a great time, and raise money for a great cause – because nothing sucks more than Pediatric Cancer! Entries are open at the club so you can stop in anytime and place your bid.
Stop by, call or email to bid on a spot for one of the classes.
Cycle-A-Thon (Participants Bid on Bike, 20 spots per class – highest 20 bidders per spot rides) If you lose the bidding war, don't worry, we'll take your money anyway.
