Mission Statement:
Buddy’s Bridge was created by Ida Schillaci Noack, after the loss “of the greatest canine love of her life”. Buddy was a shaggy dog languishing on a hoarders property in Lucerne, Ca in March of 2011. Ms. Noack was on site volunteering along... with other rescuers distributing water & food, cleaning and transporting. You can read more about their meeting below.
It was upon his passing that Ms. Noack formed “Buddy’s Bridge”. In much the way her friend Kim helped her with Buddy, Ms. Noack is now trying to help others. Buddy’s Bridge will highlight a need, a charity that works on decreasing the number of unwanted animals by providing either spay/neuter services; helping a needy family keep their animals during a crisis; or pull, vet and foster an animal out of the shelter that would normally be euthanized.

Each quarter Buddy’s Bridge will highlight one charity and ask it’s followers to donated just $10.00 that quarter. That’s all.

Your small donation times along with others will add up to a BIG IMPACT.

Join us on the Bridge, fill the gap, fulfill the need.

Buddy's Bridge - First Project: Basic Needs Foundation, Raising funds for spay/neuter services for the community of Bakersfield

The first project of Buddy's Bridge is to raise at least $2,000 by August 10 for the Basic Needs Foundation.

The Basic Needs Foundation (BNF) offers food, clothing and spay / neuter services to hard hit communities. Recently, donations fell through for BNF, leaving it $2000 short of its goal to s/n over 40 animals for the community in Bakersfield, CA.

We are humbly asking you, to donate at least $10 directly to BNF and then invite your friends to do the same.

Raising these funds will decrease the number of unwanted animals in the shelter. To quote the BNF press release: “...Did you know that one intact female dog, plus her offspring and their offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in 6 years? And that a single pair of cats, plus their kittens and their offspring can produce 420,000 kittens in 7 years?...Animal overpopulation is a tragic problem everywhere, but especially in many rural small towns near Bakersfield, primarily because low income pet owners can’t afford the high vet costs to fix their pets and they don’t have access to low cost clinics,” said Ha Adolfo, Founder of the Basic Needs Foundation...”

Please donate directly to Basic Needs Foundation on the behalf of Buddy’s Bridge....fill the gap, fulfill the need for the community of Bakersfield and their pets.
