BENEFITING: Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation
SAVING LIVES, ONE ANIMAL AT A TIME
The Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation (WARF) is a small group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing companion animals. We rescue animals that are in imminent danger of euthanasia, usually directly from the euthanasia holding rooms of local shelters. We have rescued thousands of animals from certain death, but millions more were not so lucky and died--unloved and unwanted--in shelters across the country. We hope that you can help us turn the tide of suffering and death.
2015 brought some changes to W.A.R.F. With the closure of the Placer County Shelter in Tahoe Vista, we now rely even more on foster homes to help us to continue to save lives. Without your generosity and support, we simply would not be able to carry out our mission to help homeless animals. We are enclosing some pictures of our recent successful rescues. There are many, many more that still need to find their forever home.
W.A.R.F. continues to work on behalf of the companion animals of Northern Nevada by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned cats and dogs; providing low- or no-cost spay/neuter to those in need; giving financial assistance for emergency medical situations; providing access to training and behavior modification to keep pets with their families; obtaining and distributing food for low income pet owners; sterilizing, vetting, and feeding feral cat colonies; and fielding thousands of inquiries every year from people in search of assistance for their animals.
