*On November 7, 2013, the Philippines was hit by one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded in history, Typhoon Haiyan. It wreaked havoc with over 195 mile per hour winds, flattened entire towns, took the lives of thousands of victims (actual death toll is 2500+ and counting), and left millions of others without food and shelter.
The Philippines is now left to rebuild billions of dollars in damages, but the indomitable Filipino spirit remains strong. Relief operations are now underway, heroic stories are coming to light, and the entire nation is working tirelessly to come into a "Bagong Araw," a new day.
We invite you to come enjoy performances from some of the best performing groups on campus and make a real difference in the lives of those affected by the storm.
