BENEFITING: PENCILS OF PROMISE INCORPORATED
EVENT DATE: Jan 30, 2014
It's 2014, I'm turning 23, and this is the beginning of a year of giving
What better cause than Pencils of Promise?
Children around the world are lacking the opportunity for an effective education.
- Basic reading, writing and numeracy skills are essential to individual well-being and societal development.
- Literacy is lowest in least developed countries and is higher for males than females.
Banding together as a global community through resources like Pencils of Promise we have the ability to inspire and create the change needed to stifle illiteracy in the world.
"Pencils of Promise believes every child should have access to quality education. We create schools, programs, and global communities around the common goal of education for all."
Where Do You Fit In?
Through a simple donation you can utilize PoP as an outlet to educate the youth of today and help develop the adults of tomorrow therefore striving towards a more informed and able future for all.
Perhaps you sacrifice one cup of coffee, hold off on eating out for one night, have a garage sale, rummage sale, or neighborhood sale and donate the proceeds, or even simply drive your car a little less this month and donate the gallon or two saved towards this cause, there is always a way to give to a worthy charity.
I urge each of you to look inside and ask what you're able to give. My goal is to raise $1000 by my birthday (January 30, 2014).
Pencils of Promise can educate 1 child for 1 year with only $25. So, if together we can raise $1000, we can educate 40 children this year. I know for a fact that's 40 more than I helped educate last year.
This is just the first in a serious of fundraisers I plan to setup this year in an effort to give back to my global community and I challenge each and every one of you to do the same.
If you support this cause then please share this fundraiser. A simple Like, Tweet, Tumble, or Google+ share could ripple out to millions of viewers. Let's team up and blow this goal out of the water.
I wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to consider this cause. Much love and best wishes!
