We are four young professionals in different fields in the nonprofit sector. Through our careers, we are each committed to personal and professional development in the service of achieving meaningful social change. As a team, we are trying to raise funding in dedicated support of future cohorts of AlumniCorps Emerging Leaders program. Will you join us?
The AlumniCorps Emerging Leaders program is a unique 8-month professional development program designed to help aspiring leaders in the nonprofit sector develop leadership capabilities and management skills to advance their professional contributions and accelerate their careers. Thanks to the Emerging Leaders program, we have learned from peers, mentors, and each other over the last few months to build our leadership abilities to enable us to drive work in our respective organizations . The program continues to exceed all of our expectations, and we wish that more people like us will have the opportunity to benefit from it in the future.
Our organizations, and those of future Emerging Leaders, are only asked to cover a fraction of the participation cost. The remainder is covered through charitable contributions to AlumniCorps, an independent public charity founded by alumni of Princeton University to promote civic engagement in the public interest. Help us meet our goal of raising $1,000 by donating today!
ABOUT ME: Doug Sprankling is a Senior Associate in Business Development at One Acre Fund, a nonprofit that connects African smallholder farmers with the resources they need to increase their yields: improved seed and fertilizer, financing for farm inputs, agricultural training, and post-harvest support. One Acre Fund currently serves 300,000 farm families across Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania, enabling each one to permanently emerge from seasonal cycles of chronic hunger and begin a long-term pathway out of poverty.
