BENEFITING: CLEVELAND CLINIC FOUNDATION
EVENT DATE: Jun 28, 2014
Yishai's birth was quite an experience. He has brought so much goodness and awesomeness to our lives that we wanted to give something back.
With the issue that I had during Yishai's pregnancy, there are not many doctors trained to manage it. I was very lucky that one of those doctors works for the Cleveland Clinic. I feel so lucky that I had not only a very knowledgable doctor, Dr. Amanda Kalan, but I was treated with kindness and respect by the whole staff during the four in utero blood transfusions, countless appointments/ultra sounds, and during the four days I spent in the hospital after the c-section. Yishai lived at the Cleveland Clinic main campus and then at Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital for the first 31 days of his life. Under the care of Dr. Firas Saker and the kind nurses in the NICU, Yishai was able to start eating, breathing, and thriving on his own. I consider this birthday fundraiser a thank you note to the good people at the Clinic.
