The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is a powerful community of over 130,000 men, women, and children joined together by a shared commitment to health and well-being for all.   For over 160 years, the Y has served as a conduit to bring people together, with the goal that everyone who connects through the Y has the chance to be enriched; be all they can be; to be healthier in mind, spirit, and body.

The YMCA enlists the assistance of hundreds of volunteers and staff to help us raise money for our annual campaign (our goal in 2014 is $1 million) to ensure that we help those who need it most, with a goal of improving the overall quality of life in Cincinnati.  Throughout the 13 YMCA of Greater Cincinnati branches, residential camp, mentoring sites, and over 60 child enrichment centers, we strive to provide quality programs and services that focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Your donation can transform lives in this community.  For one local blended-family of nine, before and after school enrichment opportunities and camp were only dreams.  Then, five years ago, the family received a YMCA of Greater Cincinnati “Membership for All” scholarship.  What a difference it has made in their lives!

When the children first started at the YMCA they were very shy, had some behavioral issues; they struggled to interact with other children.  Through the Y before and after school programs, the children began to make great strides interacting with their peers and are now described by their teachers as “social butterflies.”

Through the generosity of contributors to the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati Annual Support Campaign, all seven of the children have been enriched through before and after school programs and summer camp.  At camp, 13-year-old Shawn quickly became known as the first volunteer for everything.  This is just one of many examples of children and families that have thrived as a result of your generosity to help others in your community.

Last year, the Y awarded nearly $3 million in financial assistance to people in our community.   Can you help us make this great community an even better place to live, work, and support our children and families?  Together, we can do so much more.
