BENEFITING: Southern District YMCA-Camp Lincoln Inc
EVENT DATE: Jul 18, 2015
The Festival will take place from 10 AM - 4 PM.
Ducks race at 2:30 PM!
Every duck makes a difference!
Go ahead, get your feathers wet. Buy one duck for $5, or get 6 ducks for $20. Yours could be the lucky duck who wins the race! Prizes will be awarded to the first 5 ducks to cross the finish line.
Your rubber duck number(s) will be emailed to you after you make your donation.
While rubber ducks race to the finish line to win you a prize, each duck is raising money to provide financial aid to a child in need of a YMCA program.
Two sisters in one of the Y's 16 after school locations are enjoying help with homework, healthy snacks and fun physcial games with friends. These girls have no home to go to after school and their family has no means to pay for the YMCA care. Each morning they arrive at the program on a bus from whichever shelter they were in the night before. With open arms, because of fundraisers like this one, YMCA staff welcome the girls into a consistent, stable, nurturing environment that changes their world.
For these sisters and dozens like them, Southern District YMCA hosts the annual Rubber Duck Race down the Squamscott River in Exeter as part of the American Independence Festival.
Don't duck out on this opportunity to change the world! Thank you!
