As 2011 is coming to a close, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful for all the blessings in my life – such as the circle of mentors, guides, teachers, and friends that you are all a part of. This is also a time in which people who are not as fortunate as we are come to mind. I decided to contribute to the happiness and well being of others by entering a yoga challenge this month that will motivate me to raise funds to donate to The Heart of Downtown Food Bank, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of those individuals and families in need in the Fullerton area who may not be able to provide adequate food and necessities for themselves.
The yoga challenge at Purple Yoga Studio goes from November 15 to December 15. I’m looking for sponsors to donate money, either per class I take or a flat amount donation. For example, you can sign up to donate $1 per class or $20 flat, regardless of how many classes I take. I will be going out of town on December 14, so my challenge will go from November 15 to December 13 (on December 13, I will turn in the money as well). My goal is to take 29 classes in 29 days! So if you decided to donate $1 per class and I took all 29 classes, then you would owe me $29. If you decide to donate $10 flat, that’s what you would contribute. Every bit counts!
You can submit your donations the following ways:
1. Cash (give it to me in person)
2. Send a check made to The Heart of Downtown to my address:
11709 Downey Ave #22, Downey, CA 90241
3. Pay with credit card using this site
Thank you in advance for your support!
