EVENT DATE: Nov 30, 2013

As participants of No Shave November, men will refrain from shaving from November 1st to November 30th to raise awareness and funds for Youth Outreach Services and issues facing local children and families. As your beard grows to its fullest potential and draws more attention, use the opportunity to engage your beard’s admirers in the mission of YOS and encourage them to donate to your personal fundraising goal.
Money given to Youth Outreach Services (YOS) is used to serve over 3,000 youth a year through a wide variety of child welfare, counseling, juvenile justice and prevention services. Specifically, donations received from the No Shave November campaign will be directed to our Counseling programs. These programs help kids with behavioral issues, or to work through difficult personal and family times. YOS believes all kids deserve to feel safe, healthy and ready to learn. As a premier provider for adolescent care in Cook County and a trusted agency in Chicago’s disadvantaged communities, YOS is able to offer innovative and effective community-based programming for youth across the city. For more information about Youth Outreach Services and the Counseling program, visit our website: www.yos.org
We encourage anyone to partcipate in No Shave November. Growing a beard is half the fun, but if you're a lady or can't grow out your stubble, you can still make your own fundraising page!
Ask family, friends, co-workers and those interested to make a donation toward your fundraising goal. Suggest $1 per day, or a flat donation of whatever you think is appropriate. Challenge yourself and your friends to make an impact and raise money for a deserving cause!
