In August I'm moving to South Africa to work for an organization called Grassroot Soccer that's working to stop the spread of HIV in South Africa.
I'm raising money to cover the cost of living in Cape Town so I can be a fulltime volunteer for the organization.
Grassroot Soccer engages youth at risk of HIV by running soccer clinics that incorporate HIV education and dialogue into the training sessions. Their method has effectively broached this stigmatized topic with almost 600,000 participants.
With a life full of soccer and a lot of time spent with development organizations both here and abroad, I'm thriled to be pursuing an opportunty with a "sport for development" organization.
I'd greatly appreciate a donation of $10 or however much you feel comfortable contributing to support my upcoming year!
