BENEFITING: UNICEF USA
In honor of our moms, grandmas, aunts, teachers and female role models, UNICEF's Young Ambassadors are excited to launch our 2016 Making Moms Matter campaign to help children and families in Ecuador, where a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck on Saturday, April 16, killing more than 650 people, with at least 4,600 injured.
The earthquake was the worst natural disaster to reach Ecuador in over 65 years collapsing buildings, destroying infrastructure and leaving at least 150,000 children in need of urgent humanitarian assistance.
UNICEF has been working in Ecuador since 1973 to promote child rights and development, particularly for the most vulnerable children. In the coming days and months, UNICEF will continue to respond to the immediate needs of children, providing safe drinking water, essential medicines and nutrition, and restoring access to education and child-friendly spaces, to ensure children are safe, protected, and cared for while communities take on the immense task of recovering from the quake.
Please donate now to help UNICEF reach children in urgent need of assistance!
